Do you have to "repent of your sins" to get saved? What is BIBLICAL repentance for salvation?

Many false teachers preach that a person must repent of all of their sins in order to obtain salvation. Many of the most popular preachers such as Billy Graham and John MacArthur use this phrase. However, this is completely contrary to what the Bible teaches about repentance. According to the Bible repentance unto salvation is simply a change of mind from unbelief to belief. An unsaved person must stop trusting their works (or stop believing a false gospel) and put their full faith in Christ to save them.
