Muslims in China clash with Police as authorities attempt to demolish historic Najiaying Mosque

Hui Muslims in China have clashed police after authorities have attempted to try to demolish the historic Najiaying Mosque in the Yun'nan Province.

Chinese authorities sent cranes to demolish the mosque, which led to resistance from local Muslims.

The gate of the masjid was locked by police, and local muslims sat outside the masjid at night to protect it.
