Immigrants Speak Week 20: From Obama Supporter to MAGA: An Immigrant's Awakening

Leping Beck graduated from Peking University in 1988 in China. She came to the United States and studied law in the University of Denver. She worked for a law firm for a few years.

After starting a family and becoming a mother, she realized her kids were being indoctrinated to hate America during Obama years. Even though she was not political and was an Obama supporter, but she did not like what her kids were learning in schools. She and her husband moved family to North Carolina for the benefits of kids, where she started her own business as a publisher, running her own local magazine in NC. She is also a producer for a Chinese language talk show 文明客厅|君子爱财 since 2016.

Leping shares with us today her life growing up in China, her awakening process from an Obama voter to a MAGA Movement supporter. She loves America so much that she decided to get involved with the local politics and grassroots organizing to keep the American Dream alive for her children.
