Crocodile Farmer in Cambodia Killed by His Own Reptiles

A 72-year-old crocodile farmer in northern Cambodia has been fatally attacked by approximately 40 crocodiles after accidentally falling into their enclosure. Luan Nam was attempting to relocate one of the crocodiles when it grabbed his stick, pulling him into the enclosure where other crocodiles joined in the attack.

The incident occurred near Siem Reap, resulting in Mr. Nam's body being covered in bite marks and one of his arms missing. This is not the first incident of human fatalities involving crocodiles in the area, as a similar incident occurred in 2019 when a young girl was killed and eaten by crocodiles at a nearby farm.

How do you think wildlife farms can balance the need for economic activities such as crocodile farming while ensuring the safety of both animals and humans?
