Surah Fatiha
Surah Al Fatiha is the opening chapter of the Holy Quran. This surah consists of 7 verses and between 25- 29 words. There are no rukus in this Surah. According to our Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW), this is the great surah of the Quran as no one can complete his Namaz without reciting this Surah in every Rakat. Further, this Surah is the pillar of Salah and Eman, and it is considered a perfect cure for various diseases that include scorpion bites and other ailments. Surah Al Fatiha is a Makki surah.

The opening of the Holy Quran is Surah Al Fatiha. It is also known as the Gateway of the Holy Quran. Another Name of Surah Fatiha is Umm ul-Quran, Al-Hamd, and Ash-Shifa, which means mother of the Holy Quran.
