This week's episode we continue the Vicksburg campaign battles and head into the Gettysburg campaign. June 9th, 1863, Confederates were trying to relieve Union pressure from Vicksburg at the battle of Lake Providence. Then, in Virginia, Confederate Lt. General Richard Ewell moves north through the Shenandoah Valley on his way to Pennsylvania as Union Major General Robert Milroy tries to stop him at the Second Battle of Winchester on June 13th-15th.
