The over 1 million buildings in NYC weigh about 1.7 trillion pounds, about twice the weight of the all humanity. That weight is just the buildings, not including rest of the infrastructure like sidewalks, subway, and bridges, and not to mention people, furniture, appliances, cars, gym equipment, etc.
