Ghost of Tsushima is an action-adventure video game developed by Sucker Punch Productions and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The story follows Jin Sakai, a samurai who needs to protect Tsushima Island during the first Mongol invasion of Japan. He is torn between choosing to follow the warrior's code to fight honorably or using practical and dishonorable methods to subdue the Mongols. The gameplay features a large open world that can be explored on foot or on horseback. When facing enemies, the player can choose to face them directly with Jin's katana or use stealth tactics and assassinate opponents, thus becoming the legendary warrior known as "the Phantom". A multiplayer mode titled Ghost of Tsushima: Legends was later released and made available separately from the main game.

Development on Ghost of Tsushima began in 2014, shortly after Infamous First Light was finished. Sucker Punch wanted to move away from the Infamous series and create a game that had a heavy emphasis on melee combat. They collaborated with Japan Studio and visited Tsushima twice to ensure the title was as culturally and historically authentic as possible. The team drew heavily from chanbara cinema, particularly the films directed by Akira Kurosawa, as well as the Usagi Yojimbo comic. The game's landscape and the minimalist style of its art direction were influenced by Shadow of the Colossus. Although the game's map has a similar format to the real Tsushima, the intention was not to create an identical replica. The soundtrack was composed by Ilan Eshkeri and Shigeru Umebayashi.

Ghost of Tsushima was released worldwide for PlayStation 4 on July 17, 2020, with an expanded and enhanced version for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 debuting on August 20, 2021. The latter was called the Director's Cut and included the story expansion Iki Island, released on the same day.
