In this video I will be making the classic cuban cocktail the mojito. However, I will be making it with simple syrup, splenda syrup and allulose syrup. I want to make a mojito that is as delicious as the original but has less carbs. To accomplish this I am using splenda and allulose. Watch to the end to see the results of the taste test!!!

Recipe for Mojito

4 - 6 fresh mint leaves
¾ oz of freshly squeezed lime juice
¾ oz of either simple syrup, splenda syrup or allulose syrup
1.5 oz of white rum
2 oz of club soda
2 dashes of bitters

Procedure
Add the mint to a glass along with the lime juice, syrup of choice and white rum. Muddle the mint but do not pulverize the leaves.

Add the bitters and club soda, stir and enjoy!

Make the syrup:

1 part sugar or splenda or allulose
1 part water

Dissolve the sugar or splenda or allulose in water. The sugar water mixture will require heating to dissolve all the sugar. Splenda and allulose do not require as much if any heating. I make my syrups in the microwave.
