Mr AMG on the New G63! - From Past to Present!

G Wagon Strikes Back!! A True Sequel to G Wagon at last! Welcome back to Remove Before Race guys! And a big welcome to all our new subscribers and viewers!

In recent videos we have explored the history of some cars and their respective companies. But despite my namesake of Mr AMG, we have never actually accessed arguably the richest history of all, that which lies behind the three pointed star! And no story is perhaps as interesting as that of the Gelandewagen / G Class / GE / G Wagen.

So in this review I’ll take you all the way back to the first All Wheel Drive car from Mercedes, the Dernberg Wagen, and then explore every G Wagon from the GE model series, all the way to the concept G Force and the last G63, with it’s crazy squared and 6x6 variants.

You’ll discover why the last G63 was so flawed, and why the G just had to change. How the whole G wagon update project was handed to AMG, even for the standard G; So you immediately know Mercedes were serious about driving dynamics being improved! Their goal - maintain the off roading capability and G character, while allowing an AMG badge to display with pride.

But is it just more power again, and the worst handling ever, like the old car? Has the modern interior ruined it? And what of the future G Wagon models to come?
