I was worried about this not fitting snug, and not having enough padding. This helmet fits like a glove and is super secure. Definitely a great buy! As you can see in the photo I have long hair and nothing get snagged or anything.
I highly recommend this helmet!
Beside the trust in the brand, the helmet is lightweight and has all the possible adjustments which make it perfect to fit on any head size. I used it right away and I’m happy with my purchase.
It would be great to have some reflection stickers or led light behind, but for this price I think it’s the best you can get from a reputable brand
My father-in-law got into bike riding last summer and did almost 1000 miles and this year he has gone many thousands of miles.
With him getting into it and losing weight, we all decided to jump on the bike riding train and join him in later evenings and on weekends.
It is very easy since we live in an area with hundreds of interconnected miles of paved bike paths that connect many of the neighboring cities in the county we live in.
It is very cool seeing all the parks, fountains, and just scenery in the cities we live in.
Things that you just don’t have time to do normally anymore seeing how busy the lives we are leading. My father-in-law has been wearing a helmet since the day he got the bike since he takes some of the actual streets to see wider areas of the place, as well as participate in various biking events that go around.
I have not had one since I tend to just ride around on the paved paths around the city.
With my wife being pregnant, not going as much as due to said pregnancy, I decided that I should be safe and pick up a helmet, especially when I go riding by myself.I have looked all over at various helmets and was happy when I saw this Schwinn helmet on sale, I decided to pick one up immediately.
I really like how this helmet not only protects my head but also fits really comfortably and the air ventilation holes help keep my head cooler while riding in the summer heat.
It also has moisture-wicking pads that help keep my head dry on those hot days. This helmet was very easy to adjust and fit on my noggin really easily.
The carbon fiber looks really nice on and has a nice sleek look to it. I like how the helmet does come with a built-in visor which helps keep me shaded on days that are too dark to wear glasses but still have some of the eye squinting sun out and about.
Another great thing is how lightweight this helmet is, at times I forget that I am even wearing one.Overall this is a great helmet and I am very glad I made the purchase due to how well it fits, the price, and the protection it does provide.
looks great. good and easy to adjust straps. very good helmet for a very good price
I havent used the helmet yet but so far i`m happy with the product.Pros: - Light weight - 21 flow vents to keep you cool - The helmet looks really good for the price - Comes with a visor - This is an adult bicycle helmet with dual Fit adjustable design - Knob strap to adjust for better fitment - Feels very robust when wearing itCons: - The pads are too slim and doesnt absorb the impact - Is not glued very well, looks like they were in a rush when it was glued or maybe a cheap glue - The head straps are glued in to the foam again they were done in a hurryOverall the Schwinn Thrasher Bicycle helmet is great for the Price, sure you can spend another $20 and get a better helmet but i rather have two of this and wear them in different occasions.I will be updating this review this weekend when i hit the mountains in NH :-)Please hit the "Yes" button below if you liked my review and also to help others.Thank you
So far, real good. I have a large noggin - I get joked about it often. "El grande"..... This fits me with room to spare. 23 " circumference noggin. (Lotta brains!).
ONE thing users need to know, as I see it in some of the questions and reviews - there are the two side button sized adjusters. They help you set the side straps under the ear lobe.
The little twist bar on the button DOES hold tension if you use it correctly - when the bar / knob is inline with the strap it is loose.
