State of Emergency Grips - but Aussie PM BANS media from Flood Visits

Media outlets have been blocked from covering Australian PM Scott Morrison’s visits to homes affected by widespread flooding in New South Wales - which has claimed 22 lives.

As Morison declared a state of emergency, he claimed the media blackout was to have “respect for the privacy of those I came to speak to." So... not to avoid a PR disaster like the one in 2020 when his visits to bushfire-afflicted areas drew heckling?

Protesters gathered in Lismore, where Morrison held a press conference, with one banner reading: “It’s raining, it’s pouring, the PM is snoring”, in reference to the apparent slow govt response.
