Personal Development Secrets From the Bible | How to Make a Fortune

Today were talking about personal development secrets from the bible. In fact I’ll go as far to say, the bible is not really about a religion. It’s instructions on how to live a wealthy life.

When the world feels like it’s getting crazier and crazier, and weird stuff is happening more and more, its even more crucial to level up.

Life is much like an RPG where you have a character, the more you play the game, the more still your character develops, the better gear they get, they better they are to handle different situations.

So why are you choosing to opt out your character, you, developing?

Proverbs 12:24 – The hand of the diligent will rule, while the slothful will be put to forced labor.

Be diligent and choose to work OR be slothful and be forced to work.

When you have a plan and you are working towards a goal, its not the same as being forced to work. Because you are in control, you get to rule over your dominion. You might not have much to rule over, but that can change. You can go from having a little to having a lot very quickly when we put God first.

If work feels like a chore to you, it’s probably because you feel like you’re being forced to work. The reason you’re being forced to work because you’re choosing not to be diligent and work for yourself.

Proverbs 12:27 – Whoever is slothful will not roast his game, but the diligent will get precious wealth.

Those willing to work hard make use of everything they find. Where as those who are lazy don’t even appreciate what they have, it just goes to waste.

This is one of the reasons I love my Cuban people, I joke with my wife that I was Cuban before I met her. Nothing goes to waste with Cubans. It why I love immigrants. People who come from nothing appreciate everything. A lot of us born in the US have everything and yet we’re the most anxious, we have the most anxiety and we’re the most stressed… yet we lack for nothing. Cubans go without food, running water, electricity on the daily. Very few Americans can say the same.

Proverbs 15:19 – The way of the sluggard is like a hedge of thorns, but the path of the upright is a level highway.

Have you seen a lazy person get asked to do something, don’t they look like they are walking through a hedge of thorns? Every step looks like they are in agony. Where as the most successful and wealthy people I know they are always on the move, they always have something going on… they don’t waste anything.

Philippians 3:13-14 Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

It’s important to keep God in the forefront because we never really know what's going to happen. There will be highs and lows along the way. And if we put our faith and our confidence in material things, or in people, it’s really easy to get lost. Where as if our faith and confidence is in God, we’re anchored to something much stronger.

Hebrews 6:10 - For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.

It matters to God what you do. Your work, how you interact with people, your willingness to give back and serve others. It all matters to God. As you’re given more dominion, you are required to think of more than just yourself.

In a year, I went from single to married, getting my mother in law citizenship, now were bringing over Marlens sister Jessica and her son. We’re starting our family. In 2 years well go from just us to 6 of us in the home. Our business is growing as well and so there more and more people that depend on us there. How we are diligent and what we do for others matters.

And what’s really cool, is that as you develop, the people around you develop as well. So it seems like it would be more work, but its really not as the load actually gets a little lighter and more work gets done.

Im saying all of that to say, your time will come too.
