Texas Senate holds moment of silence on one year anniversary of Uvalde school shooting

The Texas Senate held a moment of silence on Wednesday morning to recognize the victims of the Robb Elementary School mass shooting in Uvalde last year. Governor Greg Abbott called for a statewide moment of silence at 11:30 a.m. and for flags to be lowered to half-staff. Nineteen children and two adults were killed by an 18-year-old gunman at the elementary school on May 24, 2022.
