Alex Murdaugh to be deposed in wrongful-death lawsuit over 2019 fatal boat crash

A South Carolina judge ruled on Tuesday that convicted murderer Alex Murdaugh will be deposed for a wrongful-death lawsuit filed by the family of Mallory Beach. The lawsuit claims the disbarred attorney’s late son Paul Murdaugh was drunk when he crashed his father’s boat into a bridge, tossing Beach into the water and resulting in her death. Murdaugh was given two life sentences in March for the murders of Paul and his wife Maggie Murdaugh.
