Horrible! Ukrainian close combat kills 720 of Russian soldiers in fierce battle near Bakhmut

The 10th Edelweiss Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled a massive attack supported by Russian invading artillery on their positions in the Bakhmut direction.

In a recent video showing the 28th separate mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroying a column of Russian invaders: "At least ten units of enemy equipment are now dotting the fields of the Donetsk region."

On a field road near a forest path, a car was first handed out, and soon two more cars damaged by explosions stood beside it.

Russian troops have lost a total of 3,258 artillery systems and 7,398 armored personnel carriers since the outbreak of full-scale war in February 2022, the General Staff of the Ukrainian forces said in a social media post on Sunday.

Five armored personnel carriers were taken out of action along with 19 artillery systems during the previous 24-hour period, said the Ukrainian General Staff.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on 22 May that Russia had lost 203,880 soldiers in Ukraine since the start of its full-scale invasion, with an estimated 720 casualties as of 21 May.

Wagner Group mercenaries have likely secured Bakhmut's western administrative borders, but at the cost of their ability for future military action.

Ukraine's hold over the city has been reduced to an "insignificant" section of southwest Bakhmut in the vicinity of highway T0504.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces took the initiative on the outskirts of the city and their advance threatened Wagner's forces with an encirclement.

Neither Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of the Wagner Group, nor the Kremlin tried to use the success at Bakhmut for propaganda purposes.
