Russian media report appears to show Bakhmut in ruins

Not a single building is seen left intact in a report by Russian media outlet “Izvestia,” seemingly from the eastern Ukrainian city of Bakhmut - the scene of some of the fiercest battles of the Ukraine conflict. In a short report published on Tuesday (May 23), Russia's Izvestia accompanied some fighters from Wagner around the ruins. The Wagner mercenaries spoke of some of the assaults they took part in in the city, while others talked of dogs left behind and children's toys they had found among the ruins of apartment buildings.
