The Patriots Prayer discusses Professors Engaged in Activism.
A Hunter College professor was caught on video shouting profanities at pro-life students and attempting to throw their materials away. The professor, Shellyne Rodriguez, has been placed on leave while the school investigates the incident. Rodriguez has apologized for her behavior, but some students and pro-life advocates are calling for her to be fired. The incident has sparked a debate on campus about free speech and the role of professors in promoting controversial viewpoints.
Biden Admin Makes 3 Billion Dollar Mistake
The Pentagon has admitted that it overestimated the value of weapons it has sent to Ukraine by $3 billion. The accounting error was caused by using replacement costs instead of net book value to value the equipment. The error does not affect the amount of aid that Ukraine has received, and the Pentagon says it will not constrain its support to Ukraine. Some lawmakers have criticized the accounting error, saying it raises questions about the oversight of U.S. aid to Ukraine. The Biden administration has defended the aid to Ukraine, saying it is necessary to help the country defend itself against Russia.
Hillary Clinton says Biden's age is a legitimate issue: 'People have every right to consider it'
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in an interview that President Joe Biden's age is a "legitimate issue" and that people have "every right to consider it." Clinton, who is 74 years old, said that she believes Biden, who is 79, is "still sharp" and "still capable" of serving as president. However, she said that it is important for voters to be aware of Biden's age and to make their own decisions about whether they believe he is the best person to lead the country.
A Michigan State Professor Forced Student
A Michigan State University professor is being sued for allegedly forcing her students to pay $99 each to join her personal political advocacy organization, which ultimately helped fund Planned Parenthood and other left-leaning causes. The lawsuit was filed by two students, Nathan Barbieri and Nolan Radomski, who say that their money was used by their professor to engage in political speech that is "antithetical to [their] deeply held beliefs." The lawsuit alleges that the professor, Amy Wisner, controlled The Rebellion Community and used the membership fees to finance her own political advocacy and to support external groups like Planned Parenthood and progressive causes dedicated to "dismantling oppressive systems." The lawsuit also names Thomas Jeitschko, interim provost and head of academic affairs at the university, because he "personally approved the policy on the donation of proceeds received from assigned course materials at issue in this lawsuit." The lawsuit demands that the school change its policy to not allow professors to require funding material that violates students' First Amendment rights, and are seeking nominal, compensatory and punitive damages from Wisner.
100 Former Trump Admins are Supporting Desantis
More than 100 former Trump administration officials have formed a coalition to support Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for the Republican nomination in the 2024 presidential election. The group, called "The Eight-Year Alliance," believes that DeSantis is a "proven winner" and a "viable contender for two presidential terms." The group also believes that DeSantis is less polarizing than former President Donald Trump, and that he would be a more effective leader. DeSantis is expected to officially enter the race this week. Early polls show Trump with a commanding lead over DeSantis, but the race is still very early.
Trump Files Lawsuit Against Wash Post
Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG) has filed a defamation lawsuit against the Washington Post for $3.78 billion. The lawsuit alleges that the Post published false and defamatory statements about TMTG, its CEO, Devin Nunes, and former President Donald Trump. The lawsuit also alleges that the Post acted with actual malice and reckless disregard for the truth. TMTG is seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
