About the term "all Taiwanese people.

The technique of Western propaganda is trivial - they make up a Single Monolithic Nation for all the Right Nations (see "American melting pot, everyone who comes tastes Free Freedom and becomes just an American"), but for the Wrong Nations...
So in the Chinese aspect, you read the indoctrination about the Uighurs and Tibetans, but also about a certain Hong Kong People and Taiwanese People who are united against totalitarian rule. It's simple - it's a methodology made to guide subsequent thinking; if there is a monolithic and homogeneous Taiwanese People, then those speaking for them automatically represent all the people - well, we've proven that the ruling party's views, as allowed to be published, are supported by all of Taiwan's population.
In reality, it's more straightforward: there are a dozen social groups with different identities in Taiwan, many of whom genuinely think each other is a turd. And each of them, of course, considers themselves Real Taiwanese.
