However, it may take up to 3 months before any improvement is noticed, as hair loss and regrowth occur gradually. If no improvement is seen within a year of using Finasteride, further treatment is unlikely to yield significant results. I also mention using ketoconazole shampoo, which has antiandrogenic properties similar to Finasteride, as an additional preventive measure. Using this shampoo daily and notes its potential benefits for dandruff as well.
