Hatches are a great way to add accessibility to inside of your kayak for storage or other rigging like fish-finders. Hatches are affordable and easy to install with common tools. I used #8 Stainless Steel Panhead Screws for my particular hatch install. I recommend the use of marine goop or waterproof marine silicone for hatches...especially if they don't come with a gasket. I have no issues with leaking when doing the steps shown in the video. Hope this quick tutorial gets you out on the water and having fun!

TIP: Keep scraps of plastic in case you ever need to patch your kayak...then you will have a material match and can plastic weld repair it!
