The mystery surrounding the horror of the DeFeo murders in Amityville back in November 13, 1974 along with the paranormal phenomena claimed by the Lutz family has captivated people for decades.

The real-life horror story began on November 13, 1974, when a 23-year-old man named Ronald DeFeo Jr. fatally shot his parents and his four younger siblings while they were asleep in their home in Amityville, New York.

But did he act alone? Why did nobody hear the gun shots?

Ultimately, DeFeo was found guilty of six counts of second-degree murder in November. He would later be sentenced to six consecutive sentences of 25 years to life in prison where he remained until the day he died at age 69 in 2021.
