~ABOUT~
Tide Pods Or Yak Pods...That is the Question!
In this video I wanted to do the ultimate pods challenge. Ever since getting the Viking Profish Reload Z I looked at the enormous tackle pod feature and thought what could I do to maximize the use of this pod system...? I then drafted up some ideas and got to work to mod my pod! Adding a saltwater grade motor to the pod made sense to me because it would be a quickly removable option for propulsion. I can still paddle the kayak well and no hull modifications were made. I can always buy another tackle pod or one of the few other pods designed for the Viking Reload Series. Since other companies like FeelFree came out with high priced motor kayaks (ie: FeelFree Dorado) I wondered if I could create a similar performing modular pod style motor yak on a tighter budget. This modification cost me around $200 vs. $2000 like some production models by other makers. I love the Viking kayaks. This kayak is one of my favorite I have ever owned. With the integration of the Watersnake ASP T24 motor it is a force to be reckoned with. The sleek hull design of the Viking plays well with the integration of the motor and the factory installed foot controlled rudder leaves hands free to fish! Can't wait to slay some fish next weekend!

Love this kayak. It is a very well thought out design. Versatile platform for anyone looking for a fast yet stable Touring/Fishing hybrid hull kayak. You don't even need to be an angler to appreciate the paddle performance these kayaks are capable of. I've seen the data on them as well. Bixpy's performance test results showcased how the Viking hull outperformed many other paddle & pedal crafts in speed and efficiency. This kayak should be on folks radar if they paddle large rivers bodies, lakes, inshore, and of course offshore.
