Tom Glass opposing Texas mileage tax pilot in Senate Transportation

This is a video of my testimony in opposition to HB 3418 in the Texas Senate Transportation on Wednesday, May 17. I was batting cleanup for some liberty stalwarts in opposition, Rachel Hale, representing Texas TURF for the wonderful leader on the freedom to travel in Texas, Terri Hall, Dee Chambless, Henry Stowe of National Motorists Association, and Natalie Ibe and Fran Waters Rhodes of True Texas Project.

I ended my testimony, quoting Barney Fife, saying, "Nip it! Nip it in the bud!"

I am happy to report that it appears that Chair Nichols decided after this hearing not to advance the bill. It appears nipped.
