The Bug Zapper light was something I thought up after hearing about all the Zika viruses carried by mosquitos. When kayaking at night I want to have a light but bugs are a major pest. Because of that I wanted to build a light pole that worked as a camera pole for during the day. I searched for lights to use in the build and found this rechargeable bug zapper light that is IPx6 waterproof. The great thing about the light bug zapper I built is that I can swap the light for a camera & remove light for use by my tent or hammock during kayak camping on islands. The light has great battery life and could be charged from my solar usb battery setups. I especially like it to rid pesky insects that get into my tent or enclosed hammock. For kayaking it seems to do the job well and I have noticeably less insects flying around my head now.
