Time To Shine

Yes, time to rise and shine - not just in getting up and enjoying a shiny new day, but shining on into the future so the Mayor mixes two songs that work off the kind of theme for today's Segue City Special with Humble Pie and Take That. This also means we have to rise and shine tomorrow morning and get another segue ready to hit the streets, but you know the drill - "Tomorrow is another day"...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...

At least that’s the idea… your mileage may vary, check with your dealer; so, you don’t forget order before midnight; operators standing by for your important call; Our talent is on loan from God. We just pray He'll let us finish another segue for tomorrow... Member FDIC.. Licensed drivers only. This offer is void where prohibited by law and that normally means it's legal everywhere but in New Mexico... is that gun really loaded or not and where is Alec? Does anybody really believe NM will prosecute Alec? You must believe in the Tooth Fairy if you do...

This feature is a five-time winner of the Thomas J. Duke Memorial Music Segue and BBQ Cook-Off Award. Yes, we just won again. This is hard. If it wasn't hard, anybody could win... it's the hard that makes it great...
