Hi, it’s Patrik Hutzel from intensivecarehotline.com with another quick tip for families in intensive care.
So today’s tip is about, a question or a frustration we get quite frequently from many readers of our blog. And when they opt-in for our free instant impact report and for our free email newsletter, we ask them, “What’s your biggest frustration?” And they often write, “Can’t get information from the doctors and the nurses.”
And I can understand that this is obviously a big frustration for families in intensive care, but here is what we’re also finding. When we talk to our clients or to our prospects, we are asking them, “What questions do you ask?” And we often find them asking non-specific questions that are not important, and that are not relevant to the clinical situation at hand. This is why I’m saying over and over again.
The biggest challenge for families in intensive care is simply that they don’t know what they don’t know. They don’t know what questions to ask. They don’t know what to look for. They don’t know their rights and they don’t know how to manage doctors and nurses in intensive care.
So in order to help you with this, what we’ve done here at intensivecarehotline.com is, I’ve written an article and a blog post, and also made a video “What questions to ask?”. And it’s free.
I’ll put a link below this video so that you know what questions you need to ask so that you don’t come up with this challenge all the time. It’s very easy. It’s a fairly long article, but the devil is in the detail in intensive care.
