I’m looking for a new Bible (I love the NIV Study Bible from Foundation but it’s time for a change.) I found a NKJV presented in Chronological order. Any thoughts as to whether this would be helpful to study or should I just stick with the original?

So many time I speak to people who don’t KNOW Jesus but “know of” Jesus. They believe there is a God and heaven, but don’t understand true salvation.
They usually say something like, “Oh yes, I know where I am going (heaven) because I am such a good person with a big heart.”
Can you please dive into this and explain why just being a good person isn’t getting us to heaven?
