A Toro Personal Pace mower with a TXP 159cc motor was sounding a bit slow after I gave it a spring tune-up. I used my tachometer to determine the speed of the engine. I found it to be a bit too slow for my liking. I then used this technique to increase the speed.
I did find a service manual for this particular engine on the www.toro.com website. In that manual, I found the factory recommended RPMs should be 2900-3100 rpms.
