DIY RC Robot WALL-E with Foam and Plywood
I've plan to build life size RC WALL-E from 5 years ago (2016), but never happen until now. This build needs about a month to finish, the main material is, actually it made out of 50:50 depron foam and plywood, also using EVA foam on some parts. This RC Robot right arm can move or rotate up and down, can also twist and has a robot gripper hand, so he can be use to pick up trash, while the left arm unusable just glued to his body. There's a ramp door on the front that can be open and close with RC to deposit the trash. Maintenance door is on the back. I also made a simple lunch box for him.
After it finish, it looks cute but surprisingly big, maybe a bit bigger than the real size, maybe about 105-110 %. I have problem on his track, the track is made out of plywood and EVA foam and that's where the problem begin. Because the soft EVA foam it has more grip thus makes the robot very hard to turn on rough ground like concrete or asphalt, but it has no problem turning or pivoting on smooth surface like ceramic tiles.
Because I'm running out of time, I missed adding the sound system, my plan is just using portable speaker and mp3 player for the sound, or just by using Bluetooth speaker.
