A group of 40 crossed into Yuma, Arizona, early this morning. Migrants are from India, Peru and China. One man from China did not have any form of identification.

China is considered a “special interest country” and migrants from these countries typically undergo additional screening.

If a migrant cannot produce an ID, CBP tells me they go through biometrics/processing like everyone else and if necessary the migrant will engage with their consulate to get a birth certificate or another form of ID.
