The pre-tribulation rapture is a biblical-based belief held by many Bible-believing scholars that the return of Jesus Christ will be in two distinct stages. In the first stage, Jesus will secretly take away his living and dead followers to be with him in heaven. This event is called the rapture. This will happen before the seven years of tribulation, a time of great trouble and suffering on earth, described in the book of Revelation.
