Flying the DJI Avata FPV Drone Thru a Deserted Texas Roadside Picnic Area on I 37 #fpvflying #avata

On my way down I-37, between San Antonio and Corpus Christi on the Texas Gulf Coast, I stopped at this deserted picnic area to stretch my legs. When I saw all of the covered picnic areas and trees, I went back to the SUV to retrieve my DJI Avata FPV drone. (FPV = First Person View, where you wear goggles to fly it.)

This video serves no particular purpose, other than to share my joy of flying and practicing flying thru gaps, including tree limbs. Trees hate drones, so I like to tease them as much as possible. It turned out that a lot of birds liked those trees as much as I did, but they didn't stick around to talk with the drone as it flew around & thru the branches.

My thanks to #TxDot for providing a place for me to relax and practice my FPV gap flying skills. I've still got a long, long, really long, way to go with building my skills before competing on the Drone Racing League courses. (Or any other FPV course for that matter.)
