In this video, we explore the upcoming changes to Warlock Exotics in Season 21 of Destiny 2. Bungie is revamping certain Exotic armor pieces to enhance their appeal and address those that have become too powerful. This ensures a balanced and engaging gameplay experience for all Warlock players.

One of the notable changes is the heavy nerf to Starfire Protocol, a favorite Exotic for grenade-spamming strategies. The energy gained from damage instances is reduced from 20% to 2.5%. However, there is a compensation as empowered weapon kills now grant 20% grenade energy.

Bungie explains that Starfire Protocol's dominance and synergy with other powerful weapons led to the adjustment. It aims to create a more diverse gameplay experience by balancing its impact.

Additionally, several other Warlock Exotics receive buffs:

Vesper of Radius: Rifts emit Arc shockwaves that damage enemies and cause additional explosions when defeated.

Chromatic Fire: Precision Kinetic takedowns create explosions that apply status effects matching your subclass.

Dawn Chorus: Daybreak projectiles gain increased damage bonus, independent of enemy scorching.

Sanguine Alchemy: Standing in a rift grants a bonus to weapon damage matching your subclass damage type.

Claws of Ahamkara: Powered melee kills generate Orbs of Power.

Mantle of Battle Harmony: Super fully charged grants a weapon damage bonus, stacking with other damage bonuses.

Ophidian Aspect: Extended melee range is removed.

Promethium Spur: Solar weapon takedowns grant Rift energy, and final blows in a rift create a rift at the target's location.
