Example of descriptive
Descriptive text is a text that provides information about how something or someone looks, sounds, feels, and so on.

This type of text is individual and purely comes from the views and experiences of the author. Therefore, something that is told will be described objectively.

According to Gorys Keraf in the book Exposition and Description (1981), descriptive text is a type of writing related to providing details of the object being told.

Tarigan in the book Reading as a Language Skill (2008) defines descriptive text as text created with the aim of inviting readers to feel, enjoy, and understand the object that is the author's target as well as possible.

Meanwhile, Dalman in his book entitled Writing Skills (2014) explains, descriptive text describes objects or events clearly, in detail, and makes the reader feel as if he feels or experiences the object being described so that the text contains details of the object.

Furthermore, Akharga, et al in Dalman (2014) explained that descriptive text is an attempt to describe through words the form and characteristics of an object.

Based on the explanations above, descriptive text aims to describe and tell something or someone to give a certain impression to the reader.

Mountains are one of the beautiful natural appearances which can also be said to be plains that stand out and are higher than the surrounding plains. In general, mountains can reach hundreds of meters high above sea level.

This height causes the mountain to look beautiful when viewed from below and from the top. From the top of the mountain we can enjoy the freshness of waterfalls that come down from high cliffs, rivers with clear flowing water, hills, rocks and sturdy cliffs, and the blue sky during the day.

This natural beauty is very soothing and makes you feel peaceful. The natural atmosphere is also very reassuring. The songs of birds in the forest, the cool breeze, and the sound of river water splashing between the rocks make us feel at home when we climb the mountain for a long time.

One of the places I really like when on vacation is the beach. The thing that makes me like the beach is because of the atmosphere there, especially in the afternoon. The evening view on the beach is very beautiful.

The crashing waves combined with the setting sun. People laughing and playing under the setting sun. Grains of sand touch your feet gently through your toes as you walk along the shoreline.

Not only that, the white clouds in the sky also add to the calming atmosphere on the beach. Birds chirping like singing a song. The breeze that blows caressing the hair adds to the coolness on the beach.

Not to mention the clear blue sea water tossed around by the waves. Occasionally fish appear to be swimming when seen from the top of the cliff on the beach. This atmosphere is the most beautiful moment for everyone because of the expanse of sand, the gurgling of the water, the singing of the birds, and the crashing of the waves which are getting more and more amazing with time.
