There's always money for war - why is that?

Norman Dodd, banker: The 1908 opening meeting of the Carnegie Foundation discussed whether there was anything more effective than war in altering the lives of an entire people.

After they decided there wasn't, the next topic was how to involve the US in a war.

Once the US was involved in WW1, they sent a telegram to Woodrow Wilson telling him to make sure the war did not end too quickly, then pivoted into control of education to ensure the US did not revert to the state of freedom it enjoyed before WW1.
