The Problem With Horror Movies

With the standards for what constitutes 'horror' at an all-time low I thought I'd chime in as to what I think is playing the biggest role in the genre's decline.
The jumpscare examples used are from The Conjuring (2013) and The Fog (1980) respectively.
Btw the jumpscare from The Fog - I didn't edit it in any way. It is genuinely that loud and obnoxious. That movie is atrocious. The only scary part about it is the volume of the musical stings that accompany the jumpscares - which is why it felt like a worthy inclusion in the video.
