[4K] Korean Women (2008-2019)

The years 2008 through 2019 were the heyday of the promotional models in South Korea. Nearly all of the South Korean trade shows and expos had them. South Korea weathered the 2007-2008 global financial crisis better than the other OECD countries. The economy thrived especially during 2008 to 2017. Jobs remained abundant for the promotional models in South Korea. Although the country never went through a lockdown during the pandemic, large gatherings were banned. When the ban was lifted in 2022, funds for the trade shows were downsized due to the economic downturn caused by the pandemic. Jobs for the promotional models in South Korea remained scarce. Very few of the trade shows in South Korea began to hire the promotional models again such as the Busan International Motor Show.
