In this video we will be analyzing the stock market on a particular day. Michael Silva starts by saying that the market has been pinned between 4,100 and 4,200 but something interesting is taking place. He goes on to say that today, everything was up in the green, including volatility, and small caps had a big standout. He mentions that the regional banks moved up higher, which helped, as well as energy names.

From a macro standpoint, there was a lot of Fed speak and an empire state manufacturing index. He also mentions that there are retail sales and more Fed talk going on the next day. Michael looks at the SPY on the daily timeframe and notes that it has been going sideways from a bullish perspective, but they are still above the year-to-date anchored view swap. He points out that if they start breaking to the upside, they should hit that daily upper, and if they start breaking down to the downside, they would be below that quarter today.

Michael warns that there's still a coin flip, and they have to be prepared for both aspects of it. He thinks that as long as they can close and hold above the quarter-to-date, the bias would remain more bullish than anything. He points out that the rate of change between growth and value has a negative divergence, and the RSI has a divergence with price action coiling up tightly in a wedge formation.

Michael quickly touches on the ES on bookmap and mentions a few key levels to watch. He says that the summation index looks like it's potentially identifying a change in trend in the very near future. As he moves on to the NASDAQ composite, Michael notes that there's a negative divergence there on the NASDAQ McClellan oscillator, and it's still well below zero.

He thinks that as the NASDAQ composite is pressing up higher and breaking out of prior highs, it might potentially be a bull trap. Michael warns that they have to be cautious as there are many potential factors that could affect the market. He ends the show by sharing the expected moves for the day and the next day.
