Biomedical engineering professor and retired U.S. Navy officer Joe Dituri broke the world record for most time spent living underwater without depressurization on Monday. Dituri has been living at the bottom of a 30-foot-deep lagoon in Key Largo, Florida for 73 days and plans to live in the 100-square-foot habitat until June 9. The underwater mission, titled Project Neptune 100, will be used for marine and human body research.
