Greetings to all in this hyperbolic time chamber simulation that we call "the real world" which is really flickering shadows on a screen. On this episode of The Machine Lies, I am joined by Dr. Skrbina who is a longtime teacher and friend. We continue our discussions which began studying Ancient Philosophy in Athens Greece. An aspect of these discussions includes the "Metaphysics of Technology" (also a book by Dr. Skrbina of the same title), the creativity of nature, and ask an ultimate question in metaphysics which is whether nature and technology are truly distinct phenomenon in the world of matter. Where does the mind fit in to the greater scheme of reality? Is the mind merely a filtering device? In Greek Philosophy, the concept of the "Logos" relates to Man as a symbol making animal. Finally, how do the views of the pre-Socratic philosophers relate to the modern secular learning dominated today by the western world. The equipment used to produce this episode consists of a Lenovo Vintage Laptop, the camcorder broke down so we switched to the laptop camera , a Behringer XM8500 Microphone, and Corel VideoStudio 2020 editing software and filmed using the OBS program available for free.
