Man goes on rampage in Rep. Connolly’s office, attacks two staffers with metal bat

Two members of Representative Gerry Connolly (D-VA)’s office have been hospitalized after a 49-year-old man walked into the lawmaker’s district office Monday morning and attacked them with a metal bat. Rep. Connolly said in a statement that the suspect, Xuan Kha Tran Pham, had asked for the congressman before proceeding to attack the staffers and wreak havoc on the office. The Fairfax Police Department tweeted that the staffers’ injuries were non-life threatening and the suspect, a local Virginian, was in custody.
