Dr. Pradip Jamnadas explains that when patients change their diets, they become more ketogenic, and the liver makes more LDL when on a ketogenic diet. Dr. Jamnadas explains how this increase in LDL is not bad for heart health, and explains what other indicators he looks at to show the patient that they are actually increasing their overall health and experiencing less inflammation. He says that these patients do well, and he does not recommend statins for them. Dr. Paul Marik adds his thoughts on this.
