Store Your Treasures in Heaven - Matthew 6:19-24

Earthly treasures cut ourselves off from seeking heavenly treasures. Mind - (Greek "nous") is the spiritual eye of the soul illuminates the inner man and governing the Will towards God.

God Will Provide- Matthew 6:25-34

Jesus is warning against anxiety not thoughtful planning. It doesn't matter how small or big you effort is with God. What truly matters is your faith and purity of heart, remember the faith of a mustard seed, and "ALWAYS LOOK TO HEAVEN."

Seek Humility and Wisdom - Matthew 7:1-11- Luke 6:37-42

We are all sinners- Romans 2:1- "Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things." Both the unrighteous and the self righteous will experience God's judgement (see also Romans 1:18-32). We will be judged by the standards we judge others by, beware and live a life o& repentance and forgiveness, always judge righteously, that comes from purifying ourselves first.

The Narrow Way- Matthew 7:12-20- Luke 6:43-45

A Sure Foundation- Matthew 7:21-8:1- Luke 6:46-49

Christ is the ROCK you build your foundation on so you the storms don't blow you over...

A Centurion's Servant is Healed- Matthew 8:5-13- Luke 7:1-10

The Centurion expresses both extremely strong faith and humility that Jesus recognizes. In vv. 10-12 in Matthew 8- Jesus makes a reference to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb and makes a reference that the SONS OF THE KINGDOM will be rejected in the last days is referring to both Jews and those who reject Christ will tossed into the outer darkness, making a reference to hell.

A Widow's Son is Raised to Life- Luke 7:11-17

This was one of three resurrections performed by our Lord. What a way to end this evenings readings and reflections, it's Mother's Day. The Lord had compassion on the widow, He said do not weep, and He raised her son back to life. Beautiful ending to a beautiful day!!!
