Pro Russian sources are claiming a warehouse with Western munitions and weapons was hit, but the ballooning fireballs are more in line with fuel or oil burning, not explosive munitions. There is reportedly a local facility that stores expired rocket fuel from the Soviet nuclear arms race.

If Russian is responsible for the attack, it is unclear why they would choose such a target. It's possible they wanted to detonate it for the spectacle or perhaps they think Ukraine will find a way to recycle the rocket fuel into weaponry.
