Jerk Bait Beatdown On Speckled Trout - Hopedale Louisiana

My first trip back after turkey season and I was very pleased that the fish are still showing me love, unlike the turkeys. I usually miss out on all the early spring Speckled Trout run because of turkey season, but I found out it is definitely not over. Hopedale, Louisiana is a great place to chase Spring specs and on this trip it was the "long rocks" that were giving them up. I know there were a few people that did quite well out there same day. Had some camera issues so my "tackle talk" didn't make it. I was fishing a suspending Rapala jerk bait for all the trout shown. I did catch on a 3/8 oz. jig head with a pink Matrix Shad as well, but none of that made it in the video. Hang around until towards the end to watch a Bumble Bee attack me right when I set the hook on a Redfish and make a complete idiot out of myself.

I usually have two camera angles, but I left my stupid chest mount at the house and decided to go ahead and film with the one angle. Sorry for the poor editing (not that it's ever really that good).
