Oregon Secretary's Secret Scandal Forces Resignation!

In a twist of fate, Oregon's Secretary of State Shamiya Fagan has resigned amid a scandal involving her secret consulting gig for an embattled marijuana company, whose owners just happen to be major political donors to her campaign. Oh, the irony! Fagan made the decision after some "reimagining" and "rethinking" of her career, concluding that stepping down was the best move for the people of Oregon. But hey, they were willing to pay Fagan $10k a month, plus a $30k bonus for each out-of-state marijuana license she could secure. Not too shabby, right?

As the dust settles, Governor Tina Kotek is tasked with selecting a replacement for Fagan. Meanwhile, the disgraced former Secretary of State can now fully pursue her passion for consulting, without the pesky conflict of interest getting in the way. Just another day in the world of politics.
