Rep. George Santos surrenders to face federal charges in Central Islip

On Wednesday morning, Congressman George Santos voluntarily turned himself in at the Alfonse M. D’Amato courthouse in Central Islip to confront multiple federal charges.

The charges against him include fraud, money laundering, theft of public funds, and making false statements, ABC 7 reported.

Following his surrender, Congressman Santos is scheduled to make an appearance before a judge later in the day, specifically after 1:00 p.m.
