Scientists from Nankai University in China have reported the development of a brain implant that enables a monkey to control a robotic arm solely through its thoughts.

This significant advancement, announced on May 5, is expected to have a positive impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities, the Daily Mail has reported.

The brain-computer interface converts electroencephalogram (EEG) signals from the monkey’s brain into control instructions, allowing it to manipulate the robotic arm, which is equipped with a food reward system.
