fear is a huge issue we are seeing these days with dogs who come through our training program. Is it nature or is it nurture? We can't be too sure, but we know one thing, and that's how to resolve it.

Vader, the cane corso, came to us TERRIFIED of everything. He'd knock tables over at cafes trying to run away. We did a 4 week board and train with him, and at about 1 week in we started taking him out to bust places.

Instead of avoiding his fear, we taught him how to work through it, which goes against pretty much everything your animal behaviorists will tell you to do. We push dogs past their thresholds to show them what they are capable of. If you allow your dog to run away, hide, and never overcome any obstacle in life, then you can be sure that is the behavior you will always have.
